Challenge
During active construction of an assisted living facility in Miami-Dade County, DERM flagged environmental conditions on-site that triggered an immediate stop-work order — putting the construction schedule and project budget directly at risk.
Approach
CEC mobilized to the site immediately. Our team collected the required soil samples, prepared a Soil Management Plan and Dust Control Plan, and submitted a complete technical report package to DERM on an expedited basis.
Outcome
DERM approvals were secured with minimal interruption to the construction schedule. The project resumed without further regulatory holds.
