CEC Engineering Inc. was founded in 2017 by two South Florida professionals with a combination of credentials that is genuinely rare in environmental consulting: direct, hands-on experience inside Miami-Dade County DERM, and project management expertise from the construction industry.
That background matters more than it might sound. Most environmental consultants have studied the regulations. CEC's founders and senior staff have administered them — reviewing permit applications, issuing compliance determinations, and negotiating remediation pathways from inside the agency.
